Thanks to everyone who joined us for the League of Women Voter's National Day of Action on redistricting! We had more than 160 people sign up and additional partners from organizations such as the NAACP and Tuesdays with Tillis who signed on to encourage our legislators to pass legislation in time for this year's redrawing.

Redistricting Year is finally here--Redrawing expected to start in August! The 2020 Census data will be delayed until September, BUT it looks like NC's legislature plans to start redrawing with data that Census is releasing in August. The legislature is currently considering a bill (S722) to get https: //pocketoption.com.ph/download in time for the 2021 election (or allow cities to delay their elections). The draft bill also allows some cities to change their district structure--the funny business is already starting!

The legislature is back and the redistricting committees have been named. Find committee links here for the House and Senate (Joint Congressional Redistricting Comm. coming soon). This is a great time to contact your legislators and tell them you want fair maps! Find them here (and enjoy NC's pretty gerrymanders from last year).
